Aldier Studio

Advice you can see, use and walk into.

The Studio is where Aldier makes things: identities, digital products, films and the spaces in which people are served. It is staffed by designers, engineers, film-makers and architects who sit with the strategists from the first day of an engagement.

Why a studio inside a consultancy

Most advice ends as a document handed to someone else to build. Much of its value is lost in translation. The Studio closes that gap by putting the makers in the room where the decisions are taken.

Disciplines

Identities built to be used by thousands of hands.

Names, voices, visual systems and guidelines, specified down to the colour values and type sizes, so that an institution looks and sounds like itself in every place it appears.

How the Studio works

From evidence to launch, and after.

Every Studio project follows the same four steps, whatever is being made.

  1. Observe

Research with the people who will use the thing: interviews, observation, analytics and the complaints file.

  2. Prototype

Ideas made tangible early, in paper, code, film or foam board, and tested before money is committed.

  3. Make

Production to a written standard, with accessibility, security and brand checks built into the work.

  4. Measure

After launch, the Studio returns to see whether people use it as intended, and fixes what they do not.

Made in the Studio

GENIVY's identity, membership card and website

The Studio designed GENIVY's visual identity and built its institutional website, alongside the strategy and governance work led by the rest of the firm.
